A forward-thinking UK-based Acoustics and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join their expanding team in Bristol. Essential Criteria

  • A degree (BSc or MSc) in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related subject.
  • A keen interest in building acoustics and sustainable building design.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic, design-focused environment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Familiarity with building acoustics principles and modelling software (e.g., Insul, SoundFlow, CATT, or Odeon).
  • Experience or academic work related to green building design, Passivhaus, or low-carbon architecture.
  • Experience with technical drawing or working alongside architects is a plus.

The Role

You will work as part of a collaborative team of acoustic consultants and engineers to deliver cutting-edge building acoustics projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience across design consultancy, site testing, and acoustic modelling, contributing to acoustic strategies for schools, workplaces, residential schemes, and cultural spaces.

Responsibilities Include

  • Conducting acoustic assessments and on-site testing.
  • Producing clear, high-quality technical reports and design advice.
  • Supporting the development of acoustic modelling and sustainable building solutions.
  • Engaging with architects, engineers, and project teams to shape acoustic performance.
