Location: Colindale & Surrey Quays Stations

The role is to specifically manage the strategy and delivery of the Mechanical, Electrical and Telecoms station change at Colindale and Surrey Quays Stations. Both schemes will be transitioning the existing stations in a staged manner from existing to temporary state then into new permanent stage & fully commissioning.

We need an experienced individual who has worked with London Underground/Overground and is familiar with their standards and managed station upgrades for both capacity increase and the provision of step free access. You will need to be capable of working collaboratively with our supply chain and LU/LO to deliver the Mechanical, Electrical & Telecom works as efficiently as possible during the implementation phase. This role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team.

Experience within the rail civil engineering industry is essential for this role, ideally coming from a main contractor background. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Telecoms station experience with LU/LO
  • Degree or HNC/HND qualified in a relevant technical discipline
  • Mentoring and development of junior members of staff
  • Awareness of the issues and processes within the customer’s service areas
  • Knowledge of all aspects of legislative compliance, including rail industry standards, employment law, health and safety, and environment
  • Good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance and experience in assessing value/evaluating variations of construction works undertaken
  • Delivery of phased installation, testing and commissioning of works that maintained existing station (or similar) operations
  • Excellent communications skills
