We are currently partnering with a global leader in the distribution of industrial and specialty ingredients to recruit a Business Controller to join their finance team based near Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a well-established international business and play a key role in driving commercial performance, transparency, and strategic insight across the organisation.
The Role:
- Reporting into the regional finance team, the Business Controller will be responsible for:
- Supporting monthly business performance reporting
- Assisting with the divisional budgeting and forecasting process
- Providing financial analysis to improve commercial transparency (profitability, credit limits, etc.)
- Supporting approval workflows between regional and corporate controlling teams
- Producing ad-hoc analysis and situation-specific reports
- Monitoring and supporting the use of Controlling systems
Candidate Profile:
- The successful candidate will have:
- Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) – essential
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with experience in an industry-based finance role
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP and data management (desirable)
- Previous experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is advantageous; experience in the specialty ingredients or related sectors is a plus
- Own transport essential due to location of site
