We are currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Endoscopy Nurse to join our well-established, JAG-accredited Endoscopy Unit.
Job Profile: As a Band 5 Endoscopy Staff Nurse, you’ll be a key part of our high-performing Endoscopy Unit, supporting patients through every stage of their care journey — from pre-assessment and procedure to recovery and discharge. You will work across a variety of cases, including general anaesthetic procedures, in a supportive and well-equipped environment. You'll also play a part in the Endoscopy On-Call Service, supporting the clinic’s 24/7 high standards of care.
Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday. (Hours between 8am-8pm)
Salary: Depending on skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the endoscopy pathway.
- Support patients with sensitive diagnoses and treatment plans in a compassionate, informative manner.
- Participate in the unit’s on-call rota and work flexibly across the unit’s hours (07:30 to 20:00, Monday to Friday).
- Liaise effectively with consultants, anaesthetists, and MDTs to uphold excellent care standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior and student nurses.
- Administer medications and manage specimens in accordance with protocols.
- Contribute to clinical audits, policy development, and infection prevention control.
