Simworx has produced groundbreaking rides, including Derren Brown’s Ghost Train at Thorpe Park (UK), Racing Legends at Ferrari World (Spain), Kung Fu Panda in Dubai, and Marvel Avengers in Indonesia. Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Kingswinford, West Midlands, Simworx is undergoing an exciting period of expansion, delivering new projects and developing innovative products for a global market. What You’ll Do: As an Electrical & Controls Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed design of electrical and electronic hardware systems for a variety of existing and new ride systems. You will work closely with project managers, as well as mechanical and software design teams, to deliver innovative and reliable solutions. * Electrical Systems Design: Create detailed designs for electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical. * Project Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams during all stages of product development, from research and prototyping to final manufacture. * Standards & Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards, such as EN13814, and adhere to functional safety requirements. * Risk Assessment: Conduct design risk assessments and maintain documentation for compliance and safety. * PLC Integration: Collaborate on the design and implementation of PLC systems and inverter drives. What You Bring: The ideal candidate will have: * A strong background in Electrical Design or Controls Engineering. * A qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline. * At least 3 years of industrial experience (preferred). * Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and experience with PLC systems and inverter drives. * Knowledge of design risk assessment processes and Sistema Functional Safety (preferred). * Familiarity with amusement ride industry certification practices, such as EN13814 (advantageous but not essential).
