Sommelier – Hunstrete, Bristol Job Type: Full Time – 40 hours per week including some weekend and evening shifts. Location: THE PIG – near Bath, Bath, Somerset. Please note: With no nearby public transport, we highly recommend applicants to have access to their own vehicle to get to/from the hotel. A rare opportunity has opened up for a Sommelier to join our team. Sommeliers at THE PIG play an important role within our restaurant and bar service. We offer an extensive wine list to our guests, from wines across the world, local British produce to our very own PIG offering! As Sommelier you will be developing your knowledge of wines whilst working on the floor during our vibrant restaurant service. You will be interacting with guests, pairing wines from our traditional cellar and providing recommendations to ensure a memorable dining experience. Through in role training you will build your knowledge of local and international brands and start to build relationships with existing and new suppliers. You will also have the opportunity to grow your qualifications in wine and spirts by enrolling in various courses. Experience in a similar role is preferred, plus WSET or equivalent qualifications.
