For nearly half-a-century, Bright Purple’s market-leading Oil & Gas software client has been delivering game-changing services across the globe, spearheaded by their talent which is the envy of all competitors. If you are passionate about earth science and technology, and have a strong background in maths, geo-sciences, or physics, then a career with them as a seismic Analyst / Specialist may be the perfect fit for you.

This role would see you at the forefront of their acquisition surveying, implementing and utilising a world-renowned suite of powerful software tools. Day-to-day you will regularly be working at home in a remote capacity, a nice change from similar positions that require the majority of time spent off-shore. When you are away, you’d be working on marine seismic vessels in amazing locations like Mexico, the Australian Ocean, or perhaps closer to home in the North Sea.

You’d be limited to c.100 days a year off-shore and when you do (but more offshore is available for experienced hires), you’ll benefit from a very generous c.£175 - £209 per day allowance (DOE) on top of your salary and benefits.

As a technology-first organisation, we are really looking for someone with a broad range of skills who can fit adaptability and as easily into a more software-oriented project as they can in more traditional seismic surveying assignments. It’s this variety, and the multi-industry application of their technologies, that really makes this stand out.

You MUST be able to travel to Edinburgh 1/2 times a month if needed. We welcome applications from a diverse array of backgrounds, which may cover:

  • GIS / Geoscience or Geophysics degree
  • Prior experience working with GIS or Oil & Gas related Data Analysis
  • Previous experience implementing or working with software systems
  • Familiarity with the off-shore marine/seismic industries

This has to be one of the most rewarding environments and teams you could possibly wish to work in within the Oil & Gas industry. No two days are the same, and you will benefit from and develop alongside some of the leading minds in this field. Hit “apply” now and we will reach out to discuss in detail!
