We are supporting our client, a large non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, in their search for an experienced Software Architect/Senior Software Engineer. This is a direct hire position, ideal for candidates interested in a hybrid work arrangement located in Oxford, UK office.
In this role, you will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions, with a primary focus on AWS and additional expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a plus. As part of the Foundational & Technology Operations vertical within the Global Technology Services (GTS) division, you will lead cloud automation, security, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes management, and DevOps practices. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, you will drive innovation in cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, security, and seamless deployment of enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- 10+ years of experience in application development/solution architecture.
- Cloud Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud solutions, with GCP experience as a plus.
- Infrastructure Automation: Develop and manage infrastructure automation with Terraform, focusing on security and scalability.
- Kubernetes Expertise: Deploy and manage AWS EKS clusters, optimizing performance and scalability.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and containerization strategies.
- Security & IAM Management: Work on Org Units, IAM roles, and implement DevSecOps best practices.
- Cloud-Native & Serverless Computing: Utilize AWS serverless frameworks to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with software and AI engineering teams while mentoring junior engineers.
- Legacy Workflow Integration: Manage ArgoCD, Airflow, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Bamboo pipelines.
- Technical Ownership: Act as a tech owner for software products, liaising with stakeholders and presenting cloud solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with cloud and AI advancements, driving innovation and modern architecture solutions.
- Bachelor in Science or better in Computer Engineering or related field.
- Certifications in AWS Solutions Architect Professional and Kubernetes.
