Overseeing and maintaining the Data platforms at Conferma. Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the production data platforms and associated services. This includes a combination of private and public cloud-based database instances, storage platforms and data warehouses. The Head of Data Services will work with the Director of Platform Services to develop the Data Services function and implement the wider data strategy.
The Head of Data Services at Conferma is responsible for:
- Identifying and delivering a strategy to modernise Conferma data platforms as the business transitions to a cloud-first model.
- Standing up a Data Services team to meet the needs of the Product and Service Delivery functions within the business.
- Building key relationships with cross-functional data leads throughout the business to form a Data Leadership group, and help guide the direction of Conferma data strategy.
- Directing teams on process standardisation to ensure efficient delivery of data services and support to internal and external parties.
- Continuously aligning data service strategy with CI/CD pipelines for streamlined provision of product improvements.
- Working with development, reporting and security leads to ensure data platforms are meeting product needs to service client expectations.
- Guiding teams to ensure a high degree of observability of data platform reliability and performance, working alongside the Head of Platform to enhance visibility of these metrics throughout the business.
- Driving innovation in related emerging technologies by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies aligning with business goals.
