Escape recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Stores Person to join our clients dynamic team in Dumbarton. We are looking for someone to carry out various material handling and storage operations within their stores and workshop, by employing efficient and effective working practices. You will be recognised as the competent person for receiving, storing and handling of goods. Responsible for general housekeeping and maintaining a clean and tidy workshop, whilst ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are maintained.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operate Safely in line with Company Health & Safety policy
- Receive incoming goods and offload, check delivery paperwork and store goods.
- Transact goods and liaise with required departments to resolve any discrepancies or queries.
- Pick materials as per work instruction to service Production or Shipping requirements.
- Move and handle purchased items, including work in progress, finished goods and raw materials.
- Input data to systems, interrogating and analysing information as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a Stores environment is preferable.
- Material handling and document control knowledge and understanding would also be an advantage.
- Forklift License for Reach which is essential & Counterbalance which is preferable.

- Monday & Wednesday: 07.45 - 16.30 Hrs
- Tuesday & Thursday: 07:45 - 16.00 Hrs
- Friday: 07.45 - 12.45 Hrs
- Hourly rate is 14.52
- Holidays - 27 days plus 8 public holidays
- Company Pension - Employee contribution minimum 6%, Employer contribution maximum 6%
