Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the owners to define and execute a bold vision for the resort, ensuring alignment with its core values of Wild Wellness, inclusivity, and excellence.
  • Inspire and lead a culture of innovation and exceptional service across the business, whilst ensuring Taymouth Marina remains a trailblazer in the hospitality industry.

Operational and Financial Oversight:

  • Drive income generation and profitability through strategic planning and precise execution of revenue-focused initiatives.
  • Oversee financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and modelling, ensuring the resort’s financial health and long-term sustainability.

Brand Development and Marketing:

  • Strengthen and expand Taymouth Marina’s brand presence through innovative marketing strategies, leveraging its unique Wild Wellness concept and luxury offerings.
  • Curate promotional campaigns and partnerships that enhance visibility and appeal to both local and international audiences.

Guest Experience and Community Engagement:

  • Ensure every guest receives an unforgettable experience, maintaining Taymouth Marina’s reputation for a warm Scottish welcome and unparalleled hospitality.
  • Act as a liaison and spearhead within the local community, and further afield whilst fostering relationships and initiatives that enhance the resort’s reputation as a key contributor to rural tourism.
  • Team and Stakeholder Management:
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the General Manager and senior leadership team, promoting a collaborative and empowered work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, stakeholders, and partners to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

Project Management and Innovation:

  • Lead the planning and execution of new projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensure projects are effectively and efficiently executed whilst monitoring expenditure versus budget and the communication of project charts and timelines.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, identifying opportunities to introduce innovative offerings that appeal to Taymouth Marina’s diverse audience.
  • Create and maintain an effective governance and compliance framework for the company whilst having overall accountability for strategy, and execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within high-end hospitality, resort, or tourism sectors.
  • Multi-faceted business experience with varying revenue streams essential.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a track record of driving revenue growth and operational excellence.
  • Ideally you should be able to evidence the successful management of a multi-faceted business with a revenue of over 7 million pounds, and a large and diverse employee base.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and inspire teams.
  • A proactive and energetic approach to leadership, with a passion for innovation and delivering extraordinary guest experiences.
  • Deep understanding of marketing principles, brand management, and customer engagement.
  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives while maintaining a focus on quality and results.
