Position Overview: Novaris Search are partnered with a dynamic nutraceutical contract manufacturer at the forefront of health & beauty product innovation , developing a diverse range of products for multiple globally-known brands . They are seeking a packaging technologist / buyer to champion the packaging function, setting standards and aligning activities with commercial business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including contract customers and suppliers, to manage packaging changes and new introductions from concept through execution.
– Drive sustainability initiatives related to packaging improvements.
– Establish a critical path with both suppliers & external customers to ensure an efficient and professional workflow.
– Attend customer meetings as needed.
– Ensure the seamless introduction of new or revised packaging to minimize write-offs.
– Maintain control over order values, making informed decisions to prevent financial losses.
– Research and evaluate new packaging concepts and developments to present to the business.
– Continuously monitor packaging for cost-saving opportunities and weight reduction through effective trial management and implementation.
Requirements:
– +5 years experience in packaging development / buying within Food, Pharma or Nutraceutical sectors.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
-Strong understanding of B2B commercial functions / procurement / supply chain operations
