Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics. They can perform advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision and continue learning mechanical skills. A successful Technician complies with policies and meets performance metrics.
Duties:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, and more.
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems using test instruments.
- Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
- Identify problems and evaluate solutions using sound judgment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess and supply necessary hand tools.
- Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
- Pass DOT background screening and physical; valid DOT medical card required.
- Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
