Do you have extensive Project Management experience within the energy sector and are you seeking a full-time role based in Scotland? NES Fircroft have been exclusively retained by Hyosung Heavy Industries UK to source a skilled Project Manager to oversee key projects in Scotland.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, from initiation after the sales handover through to successful delivery. Your focus will be on ensuring projects are scoped, scheduled, and controlled effectively, while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.
In this Project Manager role, your core responsibilities will involve:
- Taking ownership of projects from the sales handover, including scoping, scheduling, and overall control throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Leading all project-related communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams (sales, commercial, and factory).
- Proactively identifying and managing project issues and risks, while also capturing customer feedback.
- Overseeing project documentation, including design, quality reports, progress updates, and contractual deliverables.
- Providing support to tendering activities for the HQ, Factory, and UK teams.
To be successful in this Project Manager position, you will need a strong background in project management within the energy sector. Specifically, we are looking for:
- Over 5 years of demonstrable Project Management experience.
- Proven experience in transformer installation and delivery within standard NG and SPEN substations (400KV).
- Project Management qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle, and a track record of handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in managing subcontractors and effectively liaising with customers.
This full-time role will be based in Scotland and will require weekly travel to project sites around Scotland. You will report directly to the Director for Project Management.
