Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in highways and available for an immediate start on night shifts? We have an urgent requirement for a dedicated and proficient Site Engineer to join a key highways project in the Peterborough area. Working on night shifts, you will be a crucial member of the site team, responsible for ensuring all engineering works are executed accurately, safely, and in line with the project programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking all setting out, levelling, and surveying for night-time operations on the highways scheme.
  • Overseeing and managing all on-site engineering activities during the night shift, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and providing clear instruction to the workforce.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, which are critical during night work.
  • Conducting quality control checks and inspections to ensure works meet the required standards.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed site records, including daily diaries, as-built surveys, and progress reports for handover to the day shift.
