The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. Key Responsibilities: – Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents during night shifts, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. – Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to relevant protocols. – Monitor residents\’ health and well-being, promptly addressing any changes in condition and escalating concerns as necessary. – Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. – Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and support staff, to deliver holistic care. – Provide support and guidance to junior nursing staff and healthcare assistants, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment. – Ensure adherence to infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. – Participate in training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills. Essential Skills and Qualifications: – Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification, with a valid NMC PIN. – Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a care home or similar setting. – Strong clinical skills, with a good understanding of relevant nursing practices and procedures. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time and tasks effectively. – Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing person-centered care. – Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. – Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. Desirable Skills: – Experience with elderly care and/or dementia care. – Additional qualifications or training in specialized areas such as palliative care or wound management.
