Energis is currently recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for our food manufacturing client based in South Down. As Quality Assurance Manager you will manage the Quality and Food Safety System, its practices and implementation throughout the facility with primary focus being product quality and safety through operational processes. Applications will also be considered from more junior candidates coming from a food / FMCG background.
Responsibilities:
- Own, maintain and improve certified quality management system
- Lead the QA team, defining control plans, tasks and activities
- Implementation, maintenance and follow up of the Quality Systems and HACCP
- Audit Team member for all 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits on site (Corporate, Customers, BRC)
- Developing SOPs, quality policies and procedures to BRC standards
- Lead and coordinate the work of the various HACCP teams and ensure consistent format between documentation of HACCP studies
- Monitor incoming ingredients to ensure they are from an approved supplier
- Create, develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, liaising with them on Quality Assurance requirements
- Provide regular quality improvement information and performance reports to the management to identify quality problems and non-conformances
- Training and motivating all staff on health and safety procedures, safety procedures etc on an ongoing basis
Criteria:
- Third level qualification or minimum 3 years FMCG successful track record
- Robust understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
- Ability to work on oneβs own initiative as well as part of a team
