Duties And Responsibilities
Purpose
Responsible for the effective provision and operation of inspection systems and services to the allocated assets/sites. Ensure that plant and equipment are certified in accordance with Oceaneering and client codes of practice, strategies, and legislation, with feedback of results to the client.
Functions
- ESSENTIAL
- Support the Line Manager in managing Oceaneering's scope of work as defined in the contract with the client, providing assurance on technical delivery and cost management.
- Assist with implementing an Integrity Risk Management Process aligned with the clientβs process.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant client engineering and safety standards, including review of client feedback.
- Provide technical leadership to inspection discipline engineers, allocating work within their capabilities and reviewing their output.
- Manage interfaces with other support disciplines such as Structures, Pipelines, Pressure Systems, and External Corrosion.
- Maintain contact with asset teams and third parties to ensure effective inspection and integrity services.
- Develop and manage asset inspection plans and related planning processes, including corrosion monitoring.
- Oversee inspection and integrity input during plant shutdowns or outages.
- Ensure the technical content of Written Schemes of Examination or equivalent for pressure systems or equipment.
- Supervise the compilation of workpacks, review, and approve them in compliance with procedures.
- Select cost-effective non-invasive techniques and specialist technologies for safe and reliable operations.
- Manage the timely execution of inspection plans, coordinating with personnel, clients, and third parties.
- Ensure data is effectively managed within inspection databases (e.g., ACET) and maintenance systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP).
- Endorse inspection reports, ensuring compliance and initiating remedial actions for non-compliance.
- Implement anomaly processes such as Inspection Query and Remedial Order processes.
- Lead meetings and reviews, including RBA, shutdown planning, IQRO, etc.
- Support audits and conduct site audits if applicable.
- Assist in producing reports for clients, including technical and performance management reports.
- Contribute to annual budget development and manage CTR processes.
- Conduct ongoing team assessments as part of the Oceaneering CMS.

- IEng as per Engineering Council or equivalent (E)
- Overseas qualifications must be demonstrated as equivalent.
