We have a fabulous opportunity for someone to join our Operational Resilience Team. You will provide effective business support to the Head of Business Resilience and Continuity in the delivery of the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity functions. The role involves taking lead and responsibility for the delivery and maintenance of the Operational Resilience framework in line with Regulatory requirements. For this exciting role in our operational Team, you will need to hit the ground running, use your initiative, manage various projects and ideally have some technical/IT knowledge as well as worked in a Regulatory environment. Occasional visits to our Bournemouth office will be required.
Key Accountabilities
- Operational Resilience • Day to day delivery of the Operational Resilience framework, including the cyclical review and update of Important Business Services process and resource mapping. • Collation and analysis of resilience data into insightful MI reports, using tools (including third party software, Fusion and F24) and trackers to effectively monitor Operational Resilience KPIs. • Support scenario-based testing in line with Policy, use of data to build severe but challenging scenarios for exercising and testing and generating workshop presentations and reports.
- Crisis Management • As a member of the Crisis Management support team you will be required to be available out of hours from time to time in support of crisis management. • Will provide admin support to the Crisis Management Team if required, provide briefing notes, meeting minutes etc.
- Change Programme • Be able to brief on impact to Ops Res Important Business Services and track changes in mapping, resources etc to ensure the IBS resource mapping is kept current as per regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management • Responsible for the Risk and control assessor with regular risk & control self assessments (RCSA) for the Operational Resilience Team. • Responsible for the development of KRIs and KPIs for Operational Resilience and ensuring methods for tracking are embedded across the business areas. • Contribute to strategic horizon scanning as part of the risk management cycle and apply to Resilience planning.
- Governance & Reporting • Lead in the drafting of high-quality Operational Resilience papers for relevant committees (incl. Risk Committee and ExCo reporting), external parties e.g. the Regulators, and internal senior management meetings.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
- Ability to manage time and work on own initiative, manage projects and ensure the delivery of high-quality results.
- High level of integrity and proven ability to work in strict confidence.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt own style in order to develop and maintain good working relationships across a range of stakeholders (at all levels of the organisation).
- Strong analytical skills, able to absorb information rapidly and interpret data from a range of sources.
- A technical background is preferred but not essential if a good understanding of technical knowledge, such as architecture, incident management or information security, can be demonstrated.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with proven track record in the collation and production of management information.
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel between LVFS sites on occasion (monthly) and out of hours during incidents.
- Understanding of financial services or working in a regulated environment.
