SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products. We are currently looking to recruit a Project Sales Manager who will grow sales opportunities on Nominated Major Projects for London & East Anglia.
What does the role involve? As a project manager your key responsibilities will be:
- The development of sales on the Major new build projects, supporting both the head of Sector and local branches.
- Relationship management with existing and targeted new customers on the project, including the development and maintenance of structured account plans that will ensure the achievement of sales and margin targets.
- Maintenance of customer records and plans up to date utilising the companies processes and CRM system.
- Management of projects, capturing all new tier ones and sub-contractors coming onto the projects.
- Building strong relationships with the tier 1 contractors and secure packages aligned with our key alliance supply partners.
- Working with branches, the heads of Sector and SIG's specialist teams to develop SIG's presence on the project.
- Holding weekly meetings on site with key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will require:
- Knowledge of the construction industry.
- Some form of account management is ideal but not essential.
- Ability to win sales business.
- Strong interpersonal and a high level of presentation skills.
- Business acumen to pro-actively manage customer portfolios.
- Competent IT skills – Microsoft office tools.
