Kingston Veterinary Group are looking for a First Opinion General Practitioner to join our large, friendly, and supportive team at Kingston Veterinary Group. We are a forward-thinking practice with 6 sites across East Yorkshire with great equipment and first class patient care. We are also committed to looking after our staff wellbeing, providing time in the day to perform admin tasks.

The role will involve a good split between surgery and consulting.

Rotas that work for you

We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance. That’s why we offer highly flexible working options. Our commitment to accommodating your needs extends to rota patterns and working hours, allowing you to strike the perfect balance. A typical full-time role would require you to work 40 hours over 4 days per week, along with 3:6 Saturday shifts. No out of hours or on call required. We’re happy to accept part time applications as well!

About our practice

The Anlaby Branch has an experienced RVN who is the branch head along with a Veterinary Surgeon; Client care advisor and an Animal care Assistant all dedicated and passionate about providing a high standard of care to the pet owners of Anlaby and the surrounding villages.

Equipment at the Anlaby Surgery:

  • Separate dog and cat kennels
  • Operating theatre
  • In house lab equipment which includes in house blood analysers (proccyte one and catalyst one) and microscope

Equipment available at the KVG veterinary hospital:

  • Colour doppler ultrasound
  • Endoscopy suite with multiple scopes available
  • Laparoscopy
  • Digital radiography
  • CT and MRI are all available on-site
  • Full lab equipment including lactate, ionised calcium, sedivue, coags, as well as slit lamp and tonopen

We regularly perform TPLO surgery, advanced fracture repair and advanced soft tissue surgery, and have all the necessary surgical equipment needed. Our dedicated dental branch houses two complete dental suites and performs all the dentistry for the practice.

Location

Anlaby is a village forming part of the western suburbs of Kingston upon Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Hull is a friendly city, with vibrant pubs and restaurants, night life and hosts internationally acclaimed music and comedy acts in a number of excellent venues in the city. Many amazing beaches (with good fish and chips) lie along the Yorkshire coast which is only a short car journey away. There are beautiful scenic walks along the Yorkshire Wolds way, including picturesque villages with great pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant the Pipe and Glass. Make the move to Hull, and you will never want to leave!

Kingston Vets have invested heavily in staff training and their facilities to ensure they are offering the highest standards of care. The Park Street hospital has been recently extended to create additional theatre space, now comprising separate laparoscopic, orthopaedic and soft tissue theatres, as well as diagnostic suite.

The group have a fantastic and hardworking team of 20 committed Veterinary Surgeons, 20 dedicated RVNs and a friendly, enthusiastic, support team. Our experienced team includes certificate holders in medicine and imaging, with pending certificates in dentistry, surgery and medicine.

Our branch surgeries are all sited strategically from the Park Street Hospital where we can provide a high level of hospitalisation facilities. Each branch has an experienced branch head nurse and motivated team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, ACAs and receptionists. We aim to offer consistency and high standards of client care to ensure that we can offer a high-quality service.
