Exciting Nutritionist opportunity (maternity leave cover). Thorpe House Specialist Adult Mental Health Unit Ltd. is looking for either a final year Nutritionist student or Registered Associate Nutritionist to cover 9+ months for maternity leave. This would be the ideal development opportunity for an individual looking to develop their Nutrition and management skills whilst working in a dynamic and fun environment.

Thorpe House is a specialist mental health unit based in Huddersfield which provides holistic care within a homely environment. Essential to our care provision is being person-centred and recognising choice, respect, dignity, consent and independence.

The role would involve:

  • Staff training on basic Nutrition modules
  • Health promotion with residents
  • Auditing of kitchens
  • General supervision of the kitchen team

Ideally looking for someone local to Huddersfield as the position is on-site and not remote but will consider applications from further away if the individual is willing to commute. The successful candidate would be given extensive handover notes and would work a shadowing period with the current Nutritionist to learn the role and build confidence.
