We are currently seeking experienced Biomedical Scientists across Band 6 and Band 7 for a variety of locum roles within NHS Trusts across the South East of England. These positions span multiple specialties and offer flexible shift patterns, including 24/7 coverage.

Current Vacancies:

  • Band 6 - Microbiology
    • Experience in Microbiology/Bacteriology
    • Skilled in culture plate reading and interpretation
    • 24/7 shift pattern including nights and weekends
  • Band 6 - Biochemistry (Blood Sciences)
    • Proficient with Abbott Alinity systems, AlinIQ AMS, Winpath middleware
    • Duties include system setup and maintenance
    • 24/7 shift pattern including nights and weekends
  • Band 7 - Haematology
    • Expertise in morphology, Sysmex FBC, and Stago Coagulation systems
    • Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
  • Band 6 - Histology
    • Skilled in microtomy (standard, mega, singles, levels, cores), H&E staining (Leica Spectra), and embedding
    • Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30
  • Band 7 - Haematology (Haemoglobinopathy)
    • Experience with Tosoh G11
    • Responsibilities include result interpretation, SOP review, training, and UKAS accreditation support
    • 24/7 shift pattern including nights and weekends
  • Band 7 - Biochemistry (Blood Sciences)
    • Proficient with Roche systems (8000, 8100, P612), Cobas Infinity, Winpath middleware, and Q Pulse
    • Involves staff training and quality assurance tasks
    • 24/7 shift pattern including nights and weekends (RSCH & PRH)

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registration (essential) - MUST HAVE UK EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in your specialty
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends where required
