  • Salary: £105,504.00 - £139,882.00 per annum (Pro-rata)

Qualifications needed:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
  • At least 2 years' experience in Community Child Health.

We are currently recruiting to a Community Consultant Paediatrician position in the community Havering Specialist Children Service, based at Acorn Centre, 306 London Road, Romford, RM7 9NH. This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to it as soon as possible.

You will join another 4.2wte Consultant Paediatricians, 0.5wte Specialty Doctors, 1wte Senior Trainee, and 0.2wte GPvTS doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across Havering.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the local Child Protection rota.
  • Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
  • Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

Person Specification:

  • GMC: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Qualifications: CCT or equivalent
  • Specialist Register: Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in Community Child Health.
