The SMB Team Manager (International) is responsible for motivating and coaching a team of Regional Account Managers, ensuring that they exceed quota in sales on a consistent basis and that the territory they manage delivers its revenue goal for the month, quarter and year. This position will own their own pipeline while acting as a mentor to sales reps to exceed their monthly sales quota by targeting new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a strong team of 5-8 Regional Account Managers into world class sales professionals in coordination with the trainers and coaches.
  • Continuing to maintain and build a healthy, personal sales pipeline in order to exceed reduced monthly target.
  • Lead weekly team meetings and 1:1s to keep individuals aligned and provide support.
  • Follow up with projects with team e.g. closed-lost reignite campaign, 6th sense marketing campaign.
  • Support Regional Account Managers by assisting with closing deals by tags, handling customer objections, and reactivating dark deals.
  • Support Sales Director with other duties as assigned.
  • Be a model sales rep and serve as an example in all areas including admin, closing, negotiating, prospecting and other sales techniques that are necessary to be a Rockstar.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the SMB team to answer general questions, provide advice and best practices.
  • Act as the voice of their SMB team e.g. represent at internal meetings, organization best practice sessions, collect input and identify trends.
  • Monitor the statistics for the Regional Account Managers within the assigned territory and identify any discrepancies in reporting.
  • Identify trends and areas of improvement in the SMB team and coordinate with the Sales Director to advise on training and development.
  • Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, disciplining, and promoting of subordinate employees to which the organizations gives significant weight.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Regional Account Manager.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Must be able to demonstrate sales aptitude while being assertive, persistent, consultative, and comfortable working in a highly results oriented company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic mindset, and negotiation skills.
  • Persuasive communication skills accompanied with the ability to gain a quick understanding of the needs and pain points of prospects.
