Our Meallmore team at Crimond are ready to warmly welcome you as a Care Assistant within their care home. Located in the quaint North East village of Crimond, Crimond House is a charming purpose-built nursing home providing high quality care to elderly clients, including those with dementia. We provide care for frail elderly people and have a specialised on-site dementia wing to give an exceptional level of support to those living with this and other related conditions.
Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career. If youβre not already working as a care assistant, you will be required to register with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council), and Meallmore will support you with this process.
Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:
- To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with individual care/support plans.
- To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home.
- To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, and National Care Standards.
- To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
- Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
- Carry out personal care duties.
Desirable skills:
- Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
- SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
- Communication and rapport-building skills.
- Kind caring nature.
