We have an exciting opportunity to join us on a permanent basis, as the Head of IT Service Management.
Locations: Plymouth

Job Description:
- Work with the Deputy Director of Technology and Director of Transformation and Technology to safeguard performance of the ICT service portfolio.
- Accountable for the strategic approach to IT Service Management within HM Land Registry.
- Accountable for the performance and 1st line support of all ICT services, ensuring they run within defined and agreed service levels.
- Accountable for developing and monitoring a framework that allows the proactive tracking and improvement of the digital experience within HMLR.
- Drive continuous improvement in the ICT service portfolio using a broad range of customer focused metrics and evidence.
- Ensure that ICT changes and new services deployments do not impact the performance of the organisation.
- Build excellent working relationships with a range of internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation in wider government and industry forums on IT Service Management.
- Review current mechanisms for the communication and education of IT change and implement improvements as required to support the wider IT literacy of the organisation.
- Continually develop the IT Service Management function, leading on new ways of working and adopting common professional approaches.
Additional Information:
- HMLR expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office.
- Occasional travel is required to other HMLR offices and other government departments, with possible overnight stays.
- This role does require occasional planned out of hours and may include participation in a permanent on-call rota.
Person Specification:
- Working knowledge of a recognised IT Services management framework.
- Experience of Service Management in a large corporate environment.
- A record of achievement in the delivery and management of change.
- Experience of leading and growing service management practice and capability within a digital environment.
- Skilled and experienced planner, implementer and leader of change in a complex and evolving environment.
- Experience of working across organisational boundaries, expertly communicating with stakeholders to build influence and credibility.
