Methods was acquired by the Alten Group in early 2022.Role Overview:We are hiring a Technology Lead on a permanent basis. This role requires on-site presence five days a week. The successful candidate will serve as a Core Technical Leader (CTL) for a complex, high-profile Azure Stack Hub (ASH) and Private Cloud programme. As the senior technical authority, the CTL will shape and guide the programme’s technology vision, drive innovation, ensure architectural integrity, and deliver secure, scalable solutions.This role mirrors responsibilities typically held by a CTO but is tailored to fit within internal structures. The CTL will align technical strategies with programme goals, promote best practices, and foster a high-performance engineering culture within hybrid environments.Requirements:I. Core Technical Leadership & StrategyDefine and communicate the programme\’s technical vision aligned with business objectivesDevelop and implement strategic technology roadmaps for hybrid and private cloud environmentsEstablish technical governance, standards, policies, and architectural frameworksIdentify and mitigate technical risks, including contingency and disaster recovery plansFoster innovation through technology scouting and cultivating a forward-thinking cultureManage the technical budget to ensure cost-effective investmentsII. Deep Technical Expertise (ASH & Private Cloud)Lead the design and deployment of Azure Stack Hub infrastructure, ensuring performance and resilienceEnable core services (IaaS, PaaS) on ASH with secure identity management and hybrid connectivityOversee operational tasks such as patching, monitoring, upgrades, and troubleshootingGuide the management of virtualization platforms, storage solutions, networking, and compute infrastructure in private cloud environmentsPromote automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-Code practicesIII. Complex Technology Landscape ManagementLead integration efforts across ASH, private cloud, and legacy systems, addressing interoperability and migration challengesImplement security practices and API management strategies across multi-cloud and hybrid stacksNavigate regulated environments with understanding of data sovereignty, latency, and disconnected operationsIV. Leadership & ManagementInspire and lead technical teams, fostering excellence and collaborationCommunicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholdersEmpower team members, delegate effectively, and make informed decisions under pressureManage vendor relationships and contribute to agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban)V.
