Winn Solicitors (Scotland) LLP offers a market-leading one-stop-shop accident management service, focusing on all elements of the claims process to help our clients deal with the fall-out of a non-fault accident. An exciting opportunity has arisen due to business growth for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join the firm’s central Glasgow office to work with public liability, RTA, and employer liability claims. This position is full-time (35 hours per week) with a successful firm offering attractive benefits and genuine career progression opportunities.

Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maximise income per case through the recovery of damages to include hire, repairs, recovery and storage.
- Prepare and conduct the case thoroughly ensuring the ingathering of all requisite evidence.
- Deliver a level of client care in accordance with service level agreements.
- Report issues, problems and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the information systems used.
- Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it.
Person Specification
- Must be admitted in Scotland – Newly Qualified (NQ).
- Understanding of credit hire would be desirable.
- Court litigation experience including an understanding of Sheriff Court Procedures.
- Conduct hearings in the Sheriff Courts.
- Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and where appropriate give legal advice in relation to their claim.
- Experience in demonstrating effective teamwork within a commercial environment.
- Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution-focused approach.
