We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Regional Maintenance Technician to lead and support day-to-day maintenance operations across our residential care homes. As a Regional Maintenance Technician, you will deliver a wide range of maintenance services, from everyday repairs to property improvement projects. You’ll support on-site technicians to ensure work quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic building repairs (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, lighting) and emergency maintenance
- Support statutory checks and safety systems: fire alarms, water temp monitoring, PAT testing, etc.
- Assist with redecoration, refurbishments, and furniture moves
- Support the home management team with completion of COSHH inventories, various risk assessments, fire drills and related record keeping
- Monitor grounds maintenance standards and contractor performance
- Support internal health and safety compliance and documentation
- Occasionally lead small projects or assist in special maintenance tasks
- Maintain digital records and liaise effectively with home managers and technicians
Essential What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience in property maintenance and repairs
- Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel as needed
- Competent with IT systems and mobile work apps

- A trade qualification
- Previous experience in care home or school environments
- Familiarity with job costing, grounds maintenance, or supervising others
