As an integral part of a strong export team the successful candidate will work closely with the local Export team.
Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for part managing the export process in our Belfast office, while maintaining a strong customer service level to ensure our export clients receive the high level of service, they expect from MSC.
We believe the successful Export Operator should have the following skills:
- Shipping experience desirable
- Proven track record in a customer service role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- High level of computer literacy, with good working knowledge of current Microsoft applications
- Good geographical awareness
The key tasks for the Export Operator are as follows:
· Manage export documentation files, processing shipping instructions, VGM\’s and other related documentation
· Process draft bills and amendments
· Finalise DTX files and process EMC\’s (where necessary)
· Provide customs clearance to customers
· Process bookings and book haulage
· Meet customer service objectives for VIP clients, where assigned
· Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the export team or office manager
