Quantum Scholars are currently working with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school based in Southampton who are seeking a dedicated English Teacher. This will be a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025. This position offers an opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative teaching team dedicated to fostering a love for English and helping students achieve their full potential. The school hiring are based in Southampton. It is a mixed comprehensive secondary school. They\’re rated as a \”Good\” performing school overall. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities and styles. Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum and school standards. Develop engaging lesson materials and activities that inspire creativity and critical thinking. Monitor and assess student progress through regular marking, reporting, and feedback. Support students in their personal and academic growth by creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in meetings, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities where required. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level. A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements. Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a focused and respectful learning environment. A genuine passion for English literature and language, and a commitment to making a positive impact on students\’ education. Must be available for September 2025!
