About Afrilish: Afrilish is a food delivery app focused on African cuisine. We help African restaurants grow by giving them visibility and providing customers with a simple way to find and order African food. We’re building a brand that speaks to culture, community, and convenience, and we’re growing rapidly.

Role: Community Engagement Manager (African communities): We’re seeking someone familiar with how African communities interact online, especially on Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, and Instagram. Your role will be to promote Afrilish on these platforms, engage authentically with users, and drive app downloads. You will identify conversations, pages, groups, and trends relevant to African communities and help us participate effectively.

What you’ll do:

  • Share Afrilish content and promotions in African community groups and forums
  • Create and post content tailored for African audiences (memes, videos, carousels, etc.)
  • Initiate and join conversations to build awareness and trust
  • Monitor trends in African communities and suggest relevant content ideas
  • Drive traffic to download the Afrilish app through organic outreach
  • Track and report on what’s working to improve our strategies

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience engaging with African communities online, especially on Facebook
  • Active on Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and possibly Telegram or WhatsApp
  • Ability to create or adapt content that aligns with community tone
  • Confident in participating in online conversations without spamming
  • Strong written English skills and cultural awareness
  • Bonus: previous community or social media experience
