Our client is a growing accountancy firm in Lancashire with multiple offices. They offer a comprehensive range of accounting, audit, corporate finance, tax planning, and business advisory services with a focus on building long-term client relationships.

Description

  • Client leadership - Managing a portfolio of audit clients, maintaining strong client relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
  • Technical oversight - Ensuring all audit work meets professional standards, reviewing complex technical issues, and providing final quality review of audit files.
  • Team management - Leading, developing, and mentoring audit managers and their teams, including performance evaluations and career progression.
  • Risk management - Identifying and addressing audit risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing quality control procedures.
  • Business development - Contributing to practice growth through identifying new opportunities, participating in proposals, and cross-selling additional services.
  • Strategic input - Contributing to the firm's audit strategy, methodology improvements, and implementation of new audit technologies.
  • Financial management - Monitoring engagement profitability, managing resource allocation, and ensuring timely billing and collection.
  • Regulatory responsibilities - Acting as a Responsible Individual (RI) signing audit reports and maintaining appropriate professional skepticism and independence.
  • Market presence - Representing the firm at events, building networks, and enhancing the firm's market reputation through thought leadership.
  • Innovation - Driving adoption of new audit approaches, technologies, and methodologies to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
