As a Functional Assessor, you'll join a skilled team conducting impartial assessments to assist claimants in receiving Personal Independent Payment (PIP) benefits. This role lets you evaluate conditions, assess impact on daily life, and write detailed reports to support DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) decisions. You’ll enhance your analytical skills while making a tangible difference—without long shifts, weekend work, or hands-on patient care.

Your Role:

  • Conduct three assessments per day, combining telephone and face-to-face evaluations
  • Review medical conditions and analyse their impact on daily life
  • Write detailed 3,000–4,000-word reports with supporting clinical evidence
  • Enhance your knowledge of diverse health conditions, including mental health, physical impairments, and learning disabilities
  • Participate in training and CPD sessions for continuous growth

Who We Need:

  • At least one year post-qualification experience (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist)
  • Registered with NMC or HCPC (valid PIN, no restrictions)
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient assessments
  • Strong time management skills —able to work to targets while ensuring high-quality reports
  • Good computer literacy —comfortable with typing and digital assessments
