A unique opportunity has arisen to lead The Bath Priory kitchen as Executive Head Chef. The renowned 5 Red Star Hotel and Spa has maintained its position as one of the best in Bath, with kitchens and restaurants that have showcased excellence nationally and internationally for decades. This is a rare chance for someone to be the custodian of The Bath Priory's next culinary chapter. We seek an outstanding leader, an inspirational figure, and a culinary expert with 4 to 5 AA Rosettes, capable of delivering Michelin star-quality cuisine and coaching others to do the same.
The hotel & Spa features a high-quality restaurant, a unique L’Occitane Spa (the only one in the UK), and is a member of Relais & Châteaux. It offers development opportunities and unique experiences.
Key points about the role:
- Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Executive Chef will set the culinary direction and ensure guests enjoy exceptional food experiences, from fireside feasts to celebratory dinners.
- We aim to expand and enhance our culinary offerings, from breakfast to afternoon tea and special occasions, emphasizing flavor and enjoyment.
- The focus is on quality food and memorable experiences, cooking for up to 50 covers in dining rooms and 75 in casual settings (outdoor terrace and indoor casual restaurant).
- The location in Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the Great Spa town of Europe, provides access to local produce, regional suppliers, and our own kitchen garden.

The hotel is housed in a grand Georgian manor from 1835 on 4 acres of gardens, 2 miles from the Roman Baths and 3 miles from the city center.
