We are looking for a learning behaviour mentor to join the primary team at an alternative provision school in London. This fantastic school provides a therapy based approach to ensuring students are able to learn and play effectively. This school comprises of pupils that have an EHCP facing SEMH, ASD, ACES and SEND difficulties. You will get the chance to make a real impact on students' lives as you take this step in joining a wonderful community based school.

An Alternative Provision Centre in London is looking for a Learning Behaviour Mentor to start as soon as possible. This is a long term, full time position and will run for the remainder of the academic year. You will be working with young students across KS1 and KS2.

This Alternative Provision or PRU school is looking for a passionate and experienced Learning Behaviour Mentor who has a good understanding of young people's needs. You will be working in the secondary team supporting pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis with their motivation and learning. You will have the opportunity to assist these students in activities that will further their independence and help them reintegrate back into mainstream school.

This London based school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils' social, emotional and mental health and provides a range of therapies for students including psychotherapy and speech therapy. The school has good transport links and support from a multi-professional team and team of experts who focus on the whole well-being of the young person.

The Learning Behaviour Mentor Applicant:

  • Strong behaviour management
  • Experience being a Learning Behaviour Mentor is desirable but not essential
  • Have a passion for teaching students who struggle with mainstream school
  • Experience teaching within an alternative provisions environment or a secondary school environment
  • A patient, calm and engaging classroom manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application
