Our client is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team and play a key role in maintaining high standards across software development projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with software development knowledge to deepen their experience in quality assurance within complex engineering and regulated environments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing a dedicated software quality role across a range of development projects
- Developing and implementing internal Software Quality Assurance (SQA) strategies, including auditing and compliance processes
- Generating and managing Software Quality Plans
- Planning, conducting, reporting, and communicating internal software audit findings
- Identifying root causes of non-compliance and overseeing implementation of corrective and preventative actions
- Providing ongoing SQA support to project teams according to project-specific SQA plans
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and associated quality assurance principles
- Excellent communication skills to effectively deliver and discuss audit outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to investigate root causes and implement preventative actions
- Experience with quality standards in aerospace or defence (e.g. RTCA DO-178, EN9100, AS9100, AS9145)
- Exposure to complex electronics hardware development (e.g. DO-254)
- Familiarity with hardware quality processes such as First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Experience in validation or review activities within a regulated environment
