We are seeking a dynamic leader for our regional finance team. In this role, you will lead a diverse team of professionals across our offices in North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. The position is based in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, or Chicago, with occasional travel to engage with team members. The successful candidate will partner with operations management, project professionals, and operational finance to optimize efficiency and enhance financial results for our regions.
General Responsibilities
- Manage planning, organization, and financial activities related to project registrations, invoicing, revenue management, and collections.
- Partner with Corporate Accounting and Operational Finance to ensure compliance with invoicing procedures and company policies.
- Hire, train, mentor, develop staff, plan workloads, and manage performance.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with financial planning and management of projects in collaboration with Operational Finance.
- Participate in regional leadership meetings to address invoicing, AR, or revenue issues and collaborate on resolutions.
- Supervise accounting professionals to produce accurate invoices, manage project registrations, and oversee collection efforts.
- Coordinate regional billing processes and communicate billing practices to Project Management.
- Review aged revenue and AR to support strategic initiatives and report on unbilled revenue and uncollected AR.
- Facilitate smooth workflow of project documentation and invoicing with clients.
- Demonstrate proficiency in relevant company software, including registration, billing, and collections platforms.
- Maintain professionalism and positive interactions with peers, staff, managers, and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with at least 5 years of experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience supervising others.
- Knowledge of business processes such as accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
The expected salary range for this position is $91,500 to $141,900, adjusted based on location, qualifications, and experience.
