Love4Life is a vibrant, thriving friendship and dating network for people with learning disabilities and autism. As an 'Events Supporter' at Love4Life, you can make a difference with just a few hours each month. We are on the lookout for reliable and enthusiastic volunteers with a love for life to help support our events. From bowling to zumba, meals out and picnics to workshops, arts sessions, and chaperoned dates – there is something for everyone.
Volunteering with Love4Life is really flexible. Just choose from a range of monthly events to help at (mostly evenings) and fit your volunteering around your own commitments. We will support you every step of the way. We need volunteers based in Southampton, and North and South Hampshire (including Basingstoke, Petersfield, Alton, Farnborough, Andover, Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth, Hayling Island, Emsworth, Waterlooville, Havant, Hedge End, Whiteley). We are also looking for volunteers in Chichester and West London.
When you see the smiles and hear the laughter at our events, you will feel like you are making a difference, helping people to connect, build friendships, and maybe even find love!
SkillsWe need volunteers to help all our events run smoothly and safely. We are looking for volunteers with a zest for life who are passionate about helping others get the most out of theirs. Flexibility, good communication skills, and a sense of fun are important, as well as enjoying being part of a team.
In return, we can offer you full training and travel expenses. We also train volunteers to facilitate workshops and chaperone dates for those members who are looking to find that special person. Our team of volunteers helps over 200 members to connect, make friends, and find love at over 25 different events every couple of months. Register your interest for more information.
