My clientis a global investment business headquartered in London. The group has been in operation for over 20 years and has invested in over 30 businesses across multiple sectors on a global basis. (including within – Media, Consumer, Agri, Real Estate and Hospitality)
The organisation is currently seeking to hire a senior executive to operate as a Head of Portfolio.
This is a senior position within the business and will involve working closely with the management teams across the portfolio. It is a multifaceted role and will include driving value and portfolio improvement, as well as also mentoring and troubleshooting the finance teams of the portfolio.
The role is heavily focused on finance as well a portfolio strategy. This is a critical hire for the business and will ultimately be one of the most senior figures within the business. The individual will need to be a high-profile and impactful figure and able to gain immediate trust and respect from the management teams. (as well as from the board at group level) The person will need to be robust and comfortable dealing with and handling a diverse range of experienced management teams across numerous sectors and industries.
Responsibilities
- At least 10 years operating as a CFO or within finance
- Experience of PnL budgets of a minimum of $200M
- Experience across at least 3 different sectors and in challenging and diverse environments
- Track record of achievement and a proven ability to deliver
- Excellent technical foundation with a “hands-on” approach to financial management
- Track record of setting standards for financial management and reporting for the Group
- Experience in managing all aspects of the finance function, including treasury and tax, with a track record of developing strong relationships with bankers, auditors and shareholders
- Experience with Private Equity owned businesses (or similar private ownership structure)
