Teaching Assistant – Specialist School (Autism & SEMH) Location: Hartlebury, Kidderminster Salary: Up to 24,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only About the School: We are a specialist education provider supporting children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our student\’s learning and well-being. The role involves assisting in classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour, and providing individualised support to students with diverse needs. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational activities. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment. Support students during school activities and outings. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement individualised education plans (IEPs). Requirements: Experience working in a school environment, preferably with secondary-aged students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning). Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Desirable: Experience supporting students with ASC and SEMH needs. Familiarity with strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
