The Solution Architect for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management is responsible for designing end-to-end ERP solutions aligned with business needs and industry best practices. This role plays a key part in defining the architecture, functional design, and implementation roadmap of D365 F&SCM projects.
Location: Remote, European Union, United Kingdom
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience with Dynamics AX / D365 Finance & Supply Chain, including 1–2 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Consultant role
- Strong understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing
- Experience with multi-company, multi-currency, or global rollouts of D365
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-300, MB-310, MB-330, MB-700) are a plus
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, AI Builder
- Background in migrations from SAP, Oracle to D365
- Knowledge of regional/localization requirements
Responsibilities:
- Analyze client business processes and requirements to design scalable and efficient D365 F&SCM solutions
- Lead solution architecture across core modules such as Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Asset Management, and Transportation Management
- Experience in implementation within the Manufacturing industry
- Develop functional and technical solution designs, including integration strategies with third-party systems (e.g., EDI, APIs, SAP, Power Platform, Azure)
- Support pre-sales activities by providing input for demos, solution blueprints, and TCO estimates
- Guide implementation teams (functional consultants, developers) and ensure quality delivery according to Microsoft standards and project goals
- Oversee system customization, data migration planning, and security architecture
- Promote the use of standard D365 functionality to minimize custom development
- Collaborate with users during UAT, training, and transition to go-live
- Engage with Microsoft and technology partners to stay aligned with the latest roadmap, licensing models, and best practices
