About the role

The Insurance & Reinsurance Group are busy and continue to grow. They are looking to hire into the London based aviation team at the 6 PQE+ level. The team handle a wide range of interesting matters including coverage and liability work and are currently working on matters arising out of Russia/ Ukraine. Key areas of work include:

  • liability disputes arising out of aviation related risks including airlines, airports, ground handling etc;
  • liability work arising out of aviation products;
  • complex policy coverage matters and policy drafting.

You will have the opportunity to work with an enviable client base, including many of the leading insurers and major brokers. The team are known for being highly commercial in their advice and offer the prospect of working closely with key clients, alongside being encouraged to develop your own contacts/network in the market.

About you

We will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals and help you to thrive in your role from day one. Our opportunities are open to all suitably qualified applicants, so to be considered for this role, you must meet the following skills and experience:

  • The right individual will have 6 PQE+ gained at a City, insurance, major regional or leading international firm with strong experience handling clients in major insurance undertakings.
  • We are particularly interested in individuals with previous experience of the aviation market.
  • You will have excellent drafting skills and the ability to deliver practical and commercial advice.
  • Due to the role being client facing, you will need to have sound judgement and good interpersonal and project management skills.
  • A track record in managing internal teams in complex large scale litigation would be desirable.
