Apply Job Description The Trade Compliance Classification Specialist is responsible for classifying IPG products and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations for all operational movements. This role involves working closely with various product teams to collect detailed product information for classification, determine country of origin, and meet other regulatory requirements. The specialist will handle classification for inbound and outbound products across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. They will collaborate with teams in Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Finance, and serve as a key resource within IPG\’s Legal Department to ensure accurate and consistent data is maintained in IPG\’s Trade Compliance systems. Review and assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ECCN classification for products within the scope of (19 C.F.R., HTSUS, Schedule B, and CBSA tariff schedules for US, Canada, and Mexico) for US exports and imports. Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of declarations and submissions and assist in implementing corrective actions if necessary Assist with collection and reporting of metrics related to IPG import and export activities. Support day-to-day trade compliance operations for inbound and outbound shipments. Support investigations, internal and external audits, and other compliance initiatives as required by the business. Support import post entry activities including post summary corrections. Conduct country of origin determinations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with origin marking and label requirements for all products. Develop and maintain standard work documentation relative to the handling of customs classifications. Develop classification decision rationale, heuristics and methodology for various product types to improve efficiency in classification while maintaining accuracy. Assess the consistency and accuracy of legacy classifications, and support the transfer of valid data to be stored in trade software and/or ERP Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for accurate HTS and country of origin determinations. Knowledge of US trade laws and regulations such US Customs and Border Protection Regulations, FTR, sanctions, EAR, PGA/OGA, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records to support preferential trade programs and duty drawback. Assist in the preparation of systems automation development and KPI Reporting. Performs other trade compliance related duties assigned. Support Global Trade Compliance Training. Requirements Bachelor\’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. Strong experience in customs classification, in depth understanding and command of U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule, GRIs, Explanatory Notes, CROSS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills. Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and tariff regimes. Preferred qualifications: In-depth knowledge of HTS classification, ECCN determination, and country of origin rules. Experience managing broker relationships and customs processes. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Navision, SAP, Oracle) and trade tools (One Source, ACE, Amber Road, Descartes). Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or similar trade compliance certification. Experience with U.S. Customs (CBP) rulings. Location(s) Employment Type Exempt #J-18808-Ljbffr
