We are seeking a commercially astute and forward-thinking Finance Director to join our Executive Board and take charge of financial operations across a diverse and growing group of businesses. About the Role
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities across the group. You will provide strategic financial direction, ensure robust internal controls, and contribute to shaping business decisions with accurate and insightful financial data. You'll play a central role in managing commercial projects, planning and forecasting, securing capital, and driving performance improvements across multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of effective financial frameworks and internal controls.
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- Analyse operational costs and drive profitability improvements across all group entities.
- Manage cashflow strategy and reporting to support business sustainability and growth.
- Take ownership of all liabilities, statutory obligations, and contractual commitments.
- Lead the production of meaningful financial data, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and external financial stakeholders.
- Direct the negotiation and administration of loans and financial instruments.
- Establish and monitor financial KPIs, scorecards, and governance procedures.
- Drive compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and corporate policies.
- Implement effective transfer pricing strategies to support global operations and optimise tax outcomes.
- Guide capital expenditure, investment decisions, and return on capital projects.
- Support executive leadership with strategic decisions based on financial insight and risk analysis.
What Weβre Looking For
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (BA/MA)
- Minimum 10 years in finance, with 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role (preferably within manufacturing)
- Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax law, and corporate governance
- Proven experience in transfer pricing, cashflow management, and raising capital
- Skilled in managing and motivating finance teams across multiple business units
