We are delighted to be working with a leading law firm that is seeking a talented Senior HR Manager to join their dynamic team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead strategic HR initiatives and drive employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement the firm's HR strategy in alignment with business objectives. Advise senior leadership on HR trends, workforce planning, and organisational development. Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and DEI.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted adviser to partners and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance. Handle complex employee relations cases with professionalism and discretion. Promote a positive workplace culture and address conflicts proactively.
- Administration: Oversee all HR admin aspects, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, retention, and leavers process. Lead initiatives to streamline HR processes and leverage technology to improve efficiency. Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems in partnership with the Accounts team.
- Talent and Performance Management: Oversee all aspects of recruitment and provide expertise on talent management, performance-related and promotion processes.
- Change Management: Support the firm through periods of growth, mergers, or restructuring, ensuring smooth transitions. Foster a culture of adaptability and innovation.
- Employee Experience: Develop company policies and ensure consistent application. Organise the induction process and support the promotion of wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion across the business. Conduct exit interviews and collate feedback.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience: 7+ years in HR management, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Education: CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and the challenges of the legal sector.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Technology: Proficiency in HR-related tools; tech-savvy with an eye for innovation.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams effectively.
