We are seeking an experienced PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Manager to oversee and optimize the pre-sale compounds operations and dealership operations for passenger vehicles. The PDI Manager will ensure that all vehicles undergo rigorous quality inspections before delivery to customers, meeting company standards and requirements.
Working Location: Uxbridge / Hounslow, London
Key Responsibilities:
- Compound PDI and dealer store PDI Process Management: Develop, implement, and oversee the PDI process to ensure all vehicles are thoroughly inspected before delivery. Establish pre-sale vehicle compound gate-in & out, long term storage maintenance standard, and quality check standards at the compound and dealership. Implement to sign the service contract with compounds, supply system and tools to make sure compound spare parts ordering warranty submission, invoice handling normally. Manage the presale vehicles technical campaign accomplishment on time for compound PDI and dealership PDI operation. Ensure the PDI process complies with company standards and industry regulations. For pre-sale PDI part, supply training, performance evaluation, and daily supervision to compound and dealership. Coordinate logistics and operation team arrangements to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
- Quality Control: Ensure all vehicles meet quality standards before delivery, identifying and resolving potential issues promptly. Collaborate with the quality control department to continuously improve the PDI process.
- Customer Relations: Maintain good communication with dealers to ensure the PDI process meets customer needs. Handle customer complaints and feedback, providing effective solutions.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular PDI reports, analyze data, and propose improvement suggestions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the PDI process to ensure targets are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, with at least 3 years in PDI or quality control management. Experience in PDI passenger vehicle operations is preferred.
- Skills: Familiarity with PDI processes and automotive quality control standards. Strong team management and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in office software and PDI-related software.
