Salary: Starting from £28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Water Hygiene Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for specialist hygiene services, primarily focusing on the inspection, sampling, cleaning & disinfection and maintenance of water systems to control Legionella bacteria risks in line with current legislation and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform temperature monitoring of water systems, water sampling and system inspections

Carry out the cleaning, disinfection and descaling of water systems

Installation, servicing and replacement of TMVs & TMTs

Prepare detailed and accurate service reports, including recommendations for corrective actions

Use specialist equipment and chemical dosing systems safely and effectively

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience working in water hygiene, Legionella control, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.

Ideally based in and around Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Proficient in water sampling and temperature monitoring.

Ability to plan and manage your own workload efficiently.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.

Full UK driving licence.
