Our Institutional Retirement division provides pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions for UK and US defined benefit (DB) schemes, and reinsurance solutions from Bermuda. We’re recruiting for a Senior Transition Consultant to join our Award-Winning Pension Risk Transfer business. We offer a competitive salary, great benefits, and the chance to work with Employee Benefit Consultants and Trustees of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes to develop scheme-specific transition plans, reconcile scheme member data, and accurately record benefits. This is a Hybrid Working role, allowing a balance between home and office work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop scheme-specific transition plans and communicate with Trustees, advisors, and stakeholders.
- Analyze scheme benefits and data to draft legal agreements for benefit administration.
- Perform peer reviews to ensure benefit specifications and data accuracy.
- Manage scheme progress, respond to communications, and provide relevant information.
- Support new business and attend site visits to assess data quality.
- Ensure timely communication and maintain an audit trail of all benefit and data items.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide MI reports.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders updated.
- Support team development through training and mentorship.
- Provide clear information to customers about actions and next steps.
Qualifications:
- Pension Qualification such as CII or PMI, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, especially de-risking processes.
- Understanding of benefits structure and administration in DB schemes.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Accuracy and cost-effectiveness in service delivery.
- Risk awareness and proactive risk mitigation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer-focused with strong relationship management skills.
